Chronic illness comes with Chronic PAIN. In this episode we break down the curiosity it takes to understand your body.
Lisa is a Chronic Pain recovery coach that dealt with chronic headaches for 3 years straight with no relief in sight. You can connect with Lisa here.Lisa mentions a book that helped her think about her body in a different lens and see chronic pain as the body talking to us rather than be the victim and rely on pain medications and supplements. The book The Way Out by Alan Gordon helped Lisa understand that her body was what's called Body Mind Syndrome and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) can help get your brain out of this chronic pain cycle. We also mention one of my ultimate favorite books - The Invisible Kingdom, Reimagining Chronic illness by Meghan O'Rourke.

People say that “health is wealth” all the time, but what does that REALLY mean?
In this episode, I’m sharing a very personal story that illustrates how I came to the conclusion that health truly is wealth. You’ll learn why I believe that health does NOT have to mean you’re riding a Peloton bike, eating salmon every day and living a posh, fancy life – instead, to me, REAL health means that no matter what happens in your life, you are still able to physically and mentally regulate and continue to show up for yourself.
I’ve realized that when you feel good, you feel wealthy (regardless of what’s in your bank account) – and that doesn’t mean you’re living an extravagant lifestyle. In fact, it can mean the exact opposite.
This episode is for you if you want to better understand how YOU can determine what your healthy, wealthy life looks and feels like, and how you can start taking steps toward that life NOW.
Even if you’re in a not-so-good situation, are in debt, or don’t have the job or relationship of your dreams, you have the choice to feel better. Start small, become elite at the basics, celebrate your wins, and learn what it means to walk with LOVE over FEAR.
